²² having said that “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised on the third day”.

Deny Yourself, Take Up Your Cross, Follow Me. Some Here Will See My Kingdom

²³ And He was saying to everyone, “If anyone wants to be coming after Me, let him deny^[a] himself, and let him take up his cross^[b] daily, and let him be following Me. ²⁴ For whoever wants to save^[c] his life will lose it. But whoever loses his life for My sake— this one will save it.
